The new two-way reflex LS5/9f was developed by Derek Hughes for Graham Audio from the experience gained recreating the LS5/9 BBC Monitor. The LS5/9f meets the popular demand for a precision monitor loudspeaker but in a floor standing version.
Built to the same exacting BBC standards, the LS5/9f is created using the damped thin wall principle with rubberised acoustic barrier and rockwool damping. The crossover is 2nd order on the bass and 3rd order on the treble, same as the LS5/9.
The floor-standing model is more sensitive than the monitor version (89dB (2.83V, 1m) versus 87dB) and the larger cabinet also result in an extended frequency response of 40Hz to 20kHz, ±2dB.
